Australia destinations

Australia is a country, and continent, surrounded by the Indian and Pacific oceans. Its major cities - Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide - are coastal, but its capital, Canberra, is inland and nicknamed the "Bush Capital." The country is thought for its Sydney Opera House, Nice Barrier Reef, the huge Outback (interior desert wilderness) and unique animal species including kangaroos and duck-billed platypuses.

From hidden waterfalls to thoughts-blowing sunsets and historic gorges, listed here are 10 locations from the couple’s ebook, Australia’s High 100 Locations to Go - The Ultimate Bucket List, that you must see before you die.

Mitchell Falls, Western Australia
Everything in the Kimberley is on a larger scale, and Mitchell Falls is not any exception. The sheer magnitude of the four-tiered waterfall thundering down from the Mitchell Plateau is a sight to behold. The power of the place is solely unbelievable - Mother Nature at her finest!

Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia
Ningaloo Reef is without doubt one of the world’s largest fringing reefs, and you'll snorkel metres from the shore. But the true spotlight for us was swimming with whale sharks. It was one of the vital majestic and humbling experiences of our lives.

Kakadu Nationwide Park, Northern Territory
Kakadu is nature and tradition at their finest, from the prolific rock artwork websites representing a number of the longest historic information of any group of individuals in the world, to the elegant experiences you’ll have exploring the billabongs, waterfalls and gorges (which are all teeming with unimaginable wildlife).

Kings Canyon, Northern Territory
Kings Canyon is well deserving of its regal name. The rim walk (which we extremely recommend) is kind of overwhelming, because the magnitude of this ancient landscape, in all its stark beauty, is revealed.

Cable Seashore, Western Australia
The primary time we saw Cable Seaside, with its infinite white sand fringed by turquoise waters, my jaw dropped. Cap this off with a camel trip and one in all Australia’s finest sunsets, and Cable Seashore will blow your mind.

Wilsons Promontory, Victoria
The “Prom” is a treasure here in Victoria - it’s a tonic for the soul! You may camp nestled in pristine wilderness with among the greatest seashores you’ve ever seen proper behind your tent. And don’t overlook to convey a cricket bat and ball for a recreation on the beach.

The Whitsundays, Queensland
Whether you sail, snorkel, dive, island hop or fly over them, the Whitsundays are a murals, with image-excellent beaches and some of the nation’s finest resorts. Oh, and our national treasure, the Nice Barrier Reef, of course! This is the perfect place to flee to.

Birdsville, Queensland
Birdsville is the sort of outback town where you’re welcomed by locals as when you’re an outdated friend - significantly within the famous Birdsville Pub. There’s loads to see right here (regardless of it being a tiny outback oasis), from the dunes of the Simpson Desert to the Birdsville Races and Bronco Branding Championships. The journey here is effectively worth the effort.

Flinders Ranges, South Australia
From the breathtaking Wilpena Pound to the Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary, the Flinders Ranges boast a timeless landscape. And with all the authentic outback experiences obtainable right here, you’ll really feel like a real explorer. Probably the most magical things about the Flinders Ranges is how the solar lights up the traditional rocks at different occasions of the day - it’s incomparable.

Freycinet Nationwide Park, Tasmania
We kayaked in Coles Bay and felt like we were in a postcard. The sky was a deep blue, the solar lit up the pink rock of the Hazards and the hike to look out over Wineglass Bay afterwards was among the best rewards to be present in nature. It’s all capped off at the end of the day with recent seafood and Tassie wine. It doesn’t get better than that.

It's not easy

I'm not that naive I'm just out to find The better part of me I'm more than a bird:I'm more than a plane More than some pretty face beside a train It's not easy to be me Wish that I could cry Fall upon my knees Find a way to lie About a home I'll never see It may sound absurd:but don't be naive Even Heroes have the right to bleed I may be disturbed :but won't you concede Even Heroes have the right to dream It's not easy to be me Up, up and away:away from me It's all right:You can all sleep sound tonight I'm not crazy:or anything: I can't stand to fly I'm not that naive Woman weren't meant to ride With clouds between their knees I'm only a woman in a silly red sheet Digging for kryptonite on this one way street Only a man in a funny red sheet Looking for special things inside of me It's not easy to be me.... :)
